Course Highlights

Highlights of the Course Content

1. Emphasis on Foundational Phonics for Native-like Pronunciation

This course places strong emphasis on foundational phonics training. Children are guided to recognize both the names and sounds of letters, and to use phonics-based decoding techniques. From the very beginning of their English journey, learners are exposed to accurate English pronunciation. Research shows that a child’s accent is largely formed in early childhood, and once established, it is difficult to change in adulthood. Therefore, helping children acquire correct pronunciation from the start is crucial for long-term speaking and listening success.

2. Diverse Learning Formats Tailored to Young Learners

The curriculum is designed with young children's cognitive development and attention spans in mind. Each learning objective is delivered through multiple engaging formats. For example, when learning “Letter A,” students explore related vocabulary (like apple and ant), practice rhymes and songs, engage in art activities, and read illustrated books—all centered around the same letter. This multi-sensory approach enhances engagement, comprehension, and retention.

3. Step-by-Step Structure for Effective Learning

Each lesson follows a balanced "3 review + 3 new" structure. That is, out of six learning activities, three are review-based to reinforce prior knowledge, while three introduce new concepts. This method enables students to build on what they already know while confidently advancing to new material. The spiral learning design ensures steady progress, reinforces memory, and aligns with a natural learning rhythm.

4. Real-Life Relevance and Cultural Awareness

All content is closely linked to everyday life, including themes such as family, school, seasons, food, and more. This practical focus allows children to immediately apply what they’ve learned in real-world situations. In addition, selected lessons include cultural elements from different countries, helping students expand their global awareness while learning English—making the learning process both useful and enriching.
