I. Role Positioning
The English Program Director is the core driver of the school’s English Language Education System, serving both as an academic leader and a revenue growth catalyst. Unlike the traditional class-teacher model, this role takes a systemic perspective to oversee the entire school’s English teaching framework. The Director ensures the quality of language programs, empowers teachers, and integrates resources, while supporting the school’s transformation from “relying mainly on course enrollment” to operating a full English language education system, thereby providing critical support for annual profit growth.
II. Key Responsibilities
The English Program Director focuses on four main areas:
1. English Curriculum Design and Quality Control
1) Curriculum Planning: Lead the implementation of course structures such as the ABCmouse Full-English Program, ABCmouse after-school classes, and ABcmouse ESL classes. Optimize course mix and implementation standards.
2) Classroom Supervision: Regularly enter classrooms to conduct oral interaction and expression training, strengthening students’ ability to dare to speak, know how to speak, and love to speak. Monitor English teachers’ classroom performance through student feedback.
3) Instructional Resources: Guide teachers in proficient use of the “28 Learning Activities” and the ABCmouse platform to ensure standardized methods and measurable classroom outcomes.
2. Teacher Development and Faculty Empowerment
1) Training & Research: Oversee recruitment, scheduling, and training plans for English teachers. Organize lesson observations and research activities to enhance coaching, interaction, and learning monitoring skills.
2) Cross-Department Collaboration: Guide homeroom teachers in integrating ABCmouse content into instruction and foster unified English teaching capacity across the school.
3. Data-Driven Management and Resource Integration
1) Learning Data: Track student account activity, analyze progress and outcomes, and adjust teaching difficulty and course upgrade plans accordingly.
2) Dadi Resource Coordination: Connect the school to Dadi’s 60 service resources, ensuring effective platform support and full implementation of membership services.
4. Parent Engagement and Brand Enhancement
1) Showcases & Follow-Up: Organize “English Learning Progress Showcases” and establish regular parent feedback mechanisms to strengthen parental trust in the language system.
2) Enrollment Support: Participate in parent information sessions, highlighting program features and learning outcomes to attract new students and increase re-enrollment rates.
III. Qualifications
1. Requirements
1) Education: Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in English Education, Early Childhood Education, or related fields preferred.
2) Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in English education within kindergartens or training institutions; familiarity with ABCmouse or other digital teaching systems preferred.
3) Professional Certification: Valid teaching license required; TESOL/TEFL certification is a strong advantage.
2. Competencies
1) Systemic Thinking: Ability to go beyond a single-class perspective and design strategies for the school’s overall language system.
2) Execution Skills: Strong capability to align headquarters’ resources with school implementation to ensure effective execution of teaching standards.
3) Data Analysis: Proficiency in using learning platform data to drive teaching improvements and decision-making.
4) Communication & Coordination: Experience in cross-department collaboration and effective communication with headquarters, teachers, and parents.
5) Leadership & Management: Team management skills, including task allocation, training, and organizing research activities.
IV. Expected Value
An outstanding English Program Director will achieve the following:
1) Teaching Advancement: Standardized implementation of English programs across the school, with significant improvement in students’ language abilities.
2) Revenue Growth: Drive enrollment through the attractiveness of the language system, contributing over USD 100,000 annually to profits.
3) Brand Reputation: Enhance parental satisfaction and establish a distinctive “English-focused school” competitive advantage.
The English Program Director is the engine powering the school’s transformation into an institution operating a true English Language Education System. Decision-makers are advised to pursue both internal talent development and external recruitment, prioritizing candidates with both strategic vision and strong execution skills, in order to unlock the school’s full potential in English education and revenue growth.
